HOLLYWOOD'S INFATUATION WITH BALLOONS

Retrospective of all the famous movies that have prominently featured balloons. Funny how I don't remember Cary Grant running through those cornfields with balloon in hand. Guess "the balloon" is so ingrained in our culture that I didn't even notice it....

AFRO NINJA: THE MOVIE

What will they NOT try to think of next? Mark Hicks, the Internet star of the infamous viral video of the stunt audition gone horribly wrong, is coming out with a movie about an Afro Ninja who makes one bad backflip, but goes on to become the world's greatest warrior. Yes, this is a real movie.

Below is the video that started it all.

THE BATUSI

Unlike Christopher Nolan's current Batman incarnation, the 1960's TV show fully understood the beloved superhero's mythology. I'm not sure what part of "breaking out of plaster jars and dancing in front of King Tut" the new movie failed to grasp.

THE WATCHMEN TRAILER

This trailer keeps getting taken down, so it may not be working when you get to it. Please let us know though and we'll try to find a replacement.

It's kind of crazy to watch trailers for movies now because when they flash the date its coming out you think that's the set up for the premise, but it's really just when the movie is coming out. "In the year 2009....this movie will come out"

TERMINATOR 4: SALVATION TEASER TRAILER

You can't have this movie without Schwarzenegger. I'm willing to accept that John Connor has been played by 3 different actors. But I won't accept someone else playing the terminator.

Posted a link to this before, but the picture had been taken down, so wanted to give others a chance to check it out who haven't all ready.

Check out a sneak peak of Aaron Eckhart as Two-Face from the upcoming Batman. I'm not posting the picture directly b/c I don't want to upset some of the fans that see it as a spoiler.

It's comforting to know that this is what the chair of national security studies at Ohio State has been focusing his research on.

WATCHMEN COMMERCIAL CONTEST WINNER

Zach Snyder (director of 300) will be releasing his newest graphic novel adaptation WATCHMEN on in March 2009.

A few months ago, Snyder offered fans the opportunity to create a "Veidt Enterprises" TV commercial that would play in the feature film WATCHMEN. Thus, cool, useful viral marketing. One of the winning commercials is posted below.

Requiem For A Day Off

Re-cut trailers are great if they work - and this one works.

VALKYRIE STARRING TOM CRUISE

Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner's 2nd attempt at reviving their newly acquired United Artists studio. The first abysmal attempt was Lions for Lambs, and this movie definitely looks like it will be the nail in the coffin. The true story is actually pretty interesting about a group of high ranking officer's in the Nazi army that had tried to assassinate Hitler after he began his reign of terror.

The problem is that this trailer makes it look like a boring suspense thriller about a bunch of SS soldiers who decide to rebel against Hitler by speaking in American and British accents. But we already know they don't get Hitler in the end, so I'm not sure how much suspense this movie will actually offer.
